The Missouri Tiger wrestling team took part in the University Nationals this weekend at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Five Tigers gained All-American status and two MU wrestlers qualified as alternates for the University World Championships in June.
Sophomore Jeremy Spates finished second and will be an alternate for the World Championships. Junior Kevin Herron is also an alternate for the World Championships after taking third. Herron also won the Most Fall Award, recording four falls in the tournament.
Sophomore J.P. Reese and redshirt freshman Tyron Woodley each took fourth place and freshman Austin DeVoe finished in fifth place.
