After suffering their first loss of they year on Friday night, the Missouri Tigers returned to the winning ways by defeating Eastern Illinois 36-10 on Saturday in the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse.

Junior Mark Bader got the Tigers on the board winning the 125-pound match by forfeit.

At 133 pounds, Pat Dowty of Eastern Illinois pinned Tiger freshman Chris McCormick in the second period to tie the dual score at six.

The Tigers then won the next seven matches starting at 141 pounds, where sophomore J.P. Reese pinned Jerod Bruner in only :58. Reese now has nine pins on the season and holds a record of 14-8.

MU senior Jesse Jordan scored a major decision over Andy Coyle by the score of 18-4 in the 149-pound bout. Jordan is now 16-8 overall on the season.

At 157 pounds, sophomore Kenny Burleson defeated Frank DeFilipps by a 4-1 decision to improve his record to 12-7 on the year.

Tiger redshirt freshman Tyron Woodley recorded a technical fall win over Sam Smith in the 165-pound weight class. The win moves Woodley to 14-5 on the season.

The 174-pound match saw senior John Kopnisky record his 18th win of the year as he downed Louis Taylor by a score of 11-5. Kopnisky is now just two wins away from reaching 100 career wins as a Tiger.

MU junior Dante Stone defeated Kyle Bracey with a major decision score of 12-2 in the 184-pound weight class.

At 197 pounds, MU sophomore Scott Barker gave MU its eighth win of the day by scoring a technical fall over Jim Kassner. Barker now stands 16-1 on the year.

In the heavyweight match, EIU's Pete Ziminski scored a major decision over Kevin Herron 8-0.

The Tigers improved to 12-1 on the year while Eastern Illinois dropped to 1-7.

Next for the Mizzou is a trip to Ames, Iowa on Feb. 7 for a dual with the No. 4 ranked Iowa State Cyclones. The Tigers will return to the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on Feb. 10 to take on Michigan State at 7 p.m.
