AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Freshman Kala Bowers reached a career high for the third consecutive game, scoring 20 points to lead No. 12 Texas to a 73-51 victory Tuesday night over Missouri.

She also got a career-best 10 rebounds as the Longhorns (14-3, 6-1 Big 12) rebounded from their first conference loss. Texas lost 89-69 Saturday to then-third-ranked Oklahoma.

Missouri (12-5, 3-3) led by 10 points, 17-7, midway through the first half, but failed to score over the last 6:12. With less than three minutes remaining in the first half, Kenya Larkin stole the ball and drove the length of the floor for a layup to tie the game at 22.

Larkin also hit a 25-foot 3-pointer at the buzzer to end the half, capping an 11-0 run for a 27-22 halftime lead. A 9-2 run at the start of the second half extended Texas' lead to 36-24, and Missouri was unable to close the gap.

Heather Schreiber scored 14 points for Texas, while Larkin and Stacy Stephens added 12 points apiece.

Evan Unrau and Kerensa Barr had 10 points each for Missouri.

Missouri did not attempt a free throw until Barr made a pair with 3:32 left in the game. Texas was 13-of-17 from the foul line.

The 51 points for the Tigers were the fewest points scored since a 63-48 loss to Iowa State in the 1999 Big 12 Conference Tournament.

Missouri plays No. 20 (AP)/21 (Coaches) Colorado at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Hearnes Center.
