Coach Blitz Quotes
Thoughts on first game of season... "I saw some great things and I saw some nervousness on account of a new team. Overall, we are pleased that we grinded out... Our team, like this team, played until the end. No game is safe. I think that is a lesson we learned today.
Thoughts on 3-2 score... "We would never take anybody lightly but we should have finished two of our chances in the second half. Three and the game would have been put away. And we didn't, so I chalked that up to a little bit of youth."
Suzy Probst two goals... "Maybe she is the magic weapon. Her performance was definitely outstanding. She got tired in the second half but that is to be expected. She played the full 90 minutes. Overall, she was the player of the game."
Game Sunday... "This team (Memphis) has a lot of foreign kids, sophisticated players. I think North Texas is as athletic but not as sophisticated as Memphis. But they are going to give us problems with their athleticism.
