Missouri Tracksters Run Split Squad This Weekend

COLUMBIA, Mo - The University of Missouri track and field team has split up and will compete on opposite sides of the country this weekend.
The majority if the Tigers are in Los Angeles and will compete at the Mount San Antonio College Relays Apr. 20-22. Mount SAC Relays is in its 44th year and features some of the greatest athletes from over 35 countries, along with many excellent colleges and universities. Five-time Olympic medal winner Marion Jones is among the big-name competitors on the race docket.
The other half of the Tiger team will be competing at the 74th Kansas Relays. One day on of competition in the women's 800-meter run junior Elizabeth Robbins and freshman Alicia Papa placed ninth and 21st respectively. Junior Brooke Ennen finished 11th and freshman Holly Scherder finished 17th in the hammer. On the men's side Jason Franken placed fifth in the 800m, followed by Matt Whitehead in 12th place and Josiah James in 15th place. Ryan Hampton came in 20th in the 1500m.
