MU Tennis Defeats Saint Louis

The University of Missouri tennis team dropped Saint Louis on Thursday 6-1 at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex. This marks the first time in school history the Tigers have defeated SLU in women's tennis and moves the Tigers to 13-7 on the season while SLU falls to 15-12.
The Tigers took five of the six individual matches and two out of three doubles matches to take the win.Mizzou was without Cassie Drake, who is currently tied for the most wins in a season by an MU player with 21 victories. Drake was out with an illness and will have to wait until April 21 when the Tigers welcome Texas to Columbia to try and set the season wins record.
"Overall, I was very please with the way we played today," head coach Blake Starkey said. "I was a little worried when we found out Cassie couldn't go for us, but our kids stepped up and didn't miss a beat."
