COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The University of Missouri women's tennis team suffered its eighth dual loss in Big 12 Conference action Saturday, falling 6-1 to Texas. The Longhorns are ranked 14th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.
Kristina Olshanskaya (So., Los Angeles) recorded the Tigers' lone win with a 7-5, 6-4 triumph over Kaysie Smashey at #4 singles.
Texas, which saw a 120-match conference win streak snapped earlier in the week, recorded the doubles point by winning all three matches.
The Tigers, who are 13-8 overall and 2-8 in the Big 12 Conference, play 44th-ranked Southern Methodist at 12 (Noon) Sunday at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex. The Tigers are also having "Senior Day" Sunday.
