Houston, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team finished in 11th at the Verizon Mo-Morial, which wrapped up today with 18 holes of play at Pine Forest Country Club in Houston, Texas. The Tigers stood in 11th entering today's final round, but couldn't make up any ground on the pack, as they finished with a team round of 319 to give them a three-round score of 960. That put MU five shots out of the top 10, behind Kansas, which was 10th at 955. Indiana won the team title with a three-round score of 917. Missouri had won two straight Mo-Morial events.
Senior Amelia Moses leads all Missouri competitors, with a score of 229. She was in 5th place after two rounds, but a six-over par 78 today dropped her to a tie for 11th place, just one stroke out of the top 10.
Senior Jamie Tucker was next among Tiger competitors, with a three-round total of 238. That left her in a tie for 33rd place individually. Tucker was 10-over par for Tuesday's round, shooting an 82.
Rounding out the Tiger contingent was junior Nisha Sadekar, who tied for 48th place with a three-round total of 77, and freshman Tara Jacobsen, who tied for 73rd with a score of 251. Missouri had just four competitors in the lineup -- one less than the customary five - meaning Head Coach Tom Loyd didn't have the luxury of throwing out the high score.
