Women's Golf in 8th Place at Longhorn Classic

Austin, Texas __ - The University of Missouri women's golf team stands in 8th place of 12 teams competing in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic, which entered its second day on Tuesday at Great Hills Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Missouri shot a team round of 317 after shooting a 308 on Monday. The tournament wraps up on Wednesday.
Sophomore Elin Ohlsson has been the most consistent performer for Mizzou posting a four-over 76 on Monday and a three-over 75 on Tuesday. She currently is in 11th place and is just seven strokes back of co-leaders, Sarah Sasse (Nebraska) and Randi Meadows (Texas).
After recording an excellent round of 74 on Monday, senior Amelia Moses struggled putting up an 81, dropping her into a seven-way tie for 26. Fellow senior Jamie Tucker joins Moses at +11 with her rounds of 75 and 80. Tiger junior Nisha Sadekar ended Tuesday's action in 52nd place while freshman Tara Jacobsen finished the day in 62nd.
This is second of three trips to Texas this month for Mizzou. The Tiger return to the Lone Star State one more time this season on March 26th for the Pecan Valley Invitational.
