Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri men's basketball game this Thursday vs. Southern University has been picked up for television broadcast by Mizzou Sports Network, and will be shown throughout the state of Missouri on several network affiliates.
The 2nd-ranked Tigers (8-0) host Southern (0-3) Dec. 6th at 7 p.m. at the Hearnes Center. The game was not originally included in MSN's season package, but was added this week due to popular demand.
"We're very pleased to be able to offer this game to our fans and supporters around the state," said MU Director of Athletics Mike Alden. "I'd like to commend our affiliates around the state for carrying the game, as well as Mike Behymer of Mizzou Sports Properties for making it possible," he said.
The Southern game will be the fourth of 10 games televised this year by MSN, and combined with national broadcasts from ESPN, ABC, CBS and the regional Big 12 Conference package, all but two of MU's games this season will have been televised. The only games not scheduled for telecast this season include: Nov. 29th vs. Jackson State and Feb. 13th at Nebraska.
