The University of Missouri wrestling team had several wrestlers competing in the University of Northern Iowa Open over the weekend. Three Tigers placed at the tournament, including two who took home second place finishes.

Senior Jesse Jordan reached the finals of the 149-pound class but fell to Ryan Berger of Illinos. Sophomore Kenny Burleson also reached the finals in the 157-pound class. He was defeated by Alex Tirapelle in the final match.

Freshman Karl Person pinned Dave Neumyer of Wisconsin in the finals of the consolation bracket to take home fifth place.

Next for the Tigers are duals on back-to-back days in the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse this weekend. MU will host Indiana on Friday night and then Purdue and Missouri Valley on Saturday. The wrestling begins at 7 p.m. on Friday and at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
