On the play of sophomore forward Evan Unrau:
"She's a great player. I don't expect her to go 5-for-5 in 3-pointers every game. It's just the fact that she looked for shots."

"She's tough to stop inside. When she can pull out and hit those shots, it really opens us up."

On emptying the bench: "In these early games we're trying to get as many people in. We need to grow up fast. We've got a lot of young kids and a tough conference."

On a first-half lead of 21 dwindling to 12 at halftime: "We can't have that happen. We did respond from that. Lauren Podratz is better at handling the ball than she demonstrated. She just needs to get out and play."

On Kerensa Barr's game: "Everyone has to remember that Kerensa is our backup point guard when you take out Natalie (Bright). We chose not to do that tonight (play Kerensa at point guard). Tracy Lozier and Lauren Podratz (who shared time at point guard) are better than they showed today and we have to work on that.
