Tim Jamieson, head coach of the University of Missouri baseball team, announced the 2002 schedule today. The 56-game schedule is dominated by appearances at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field as Missouri will play 34 games at home.

Jamieson will begin his eighth season of guiding the Tigers when MU plays the University of Washington on Feb. 14 in Phoenix, Ariz.

The Tigers will face seven schools which played in the 2001 NCAA Tournament. Five of those schools, Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech, are members of the Big 12 Conference.

MU will begin Big 12 play on March 8 when it begins a three-game series at Oklahoma.

Missouri will close the season against Northern Iowa, which won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and participated in the 2001 NCAAs.
