COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Gold team used a three-run 10th inning to record an 8-6 win over the Black squad Friday night at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field.

W.T. Hoover drove in Jody Roughton with a suicide squeeze bunt in the 10th inning to give the Gold team the lead. Wes Fewell then drove in Hoover with a single before Fewell scored on a two-out single by Tony Vitello.

Hoover, Fewell, Vitello and Brent Lacy each had two hits for the Gold team.

Ryan Rothford had three hits to lead the Black, including a 10th inning double to power the team's comeback hopes. Ryan Rallo drove in two runs and had a pair of singles.

Rothford gave the Black team an early lead when he scored an unearned run in the second inning. Rothford drove in Kurt Propst in the third inning for a 2-0 lead.

The Black team made it 4-1 when Rallo drove in Bo Davis and Mick Weiss followed with a single to score Rallo.

The Gold team scored two runs in the sixth and seventh innings to take a 5-4 lead. In the sixth, Lacy had a two-run single to score Fewell and Dan Bane. In the seventh Roughton drove in Jayce Tingler and Cody Ehlers knocked in Felipe Tetelboin.

The Black team's Lee Laskowski hit a solo homer in the ninth inning to force extra innings.

Missouri will open the Fall World Series Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field. The other games are as follows:
