Friedman Named To ITA Scholar-Athlete Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Andrea Friedman became the University of Missouri's first recipient of the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.

Friedman, who completed her eligibility with the 2001 season, posted a 17-10 singles mark last season.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status at the NCAA and NAIA level a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a junior or senior in school, 2.) be a varsity letterwinner, and 3.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale).

Friedman was a four-time selection to the Academic All-Big 12 team.
