COLUMBIA, Mo. -- For the fourth consecutive year, the United States Tennis Association/Missouri Valley Section (USTA/MV) has named Missouri head tennis coach Blake Starkey to coach the Midwest's top-ranked Girls 18-and-under players at the Intersectional Team Championships.
The players will compete in a team format, taking on top-ranked players from around the country. The week-long tournament will be held in San Rafael, Calif., July 31st-Aug. 3rd. The National Intersectional Tournament is a precursor to the National Hardcourt Championships, which are held in San Jose, Calif., immediately after Intersectionals.
The Girls 18 Intersectional Team is comprised of the top-ranked players from the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and parts of Illinois.
