Tigers Down Dutch Junior National Team

HOFDDORP, Netherlands - The University of Missouri women's basketball team overcame an early cold shooting performance and several turnovers to record a 68-54 win Sunday over the Dutch Junior National Team. The contest was the Tigers' first of four games in their European Excursion.

MU led 14-13 after one quarter and 31-26 at halftime. A 19-9 run in the fourth quarter keyed the Tigers' victory. Missouri had 30 turnovers in the contest.

Evan Unrau, Amy Loftus and Tracy Lozier each scored 13 points for Missouri. Unrau added 12 rebounds for a double-double. Missouri made six of 12 three-point field goals, led by Lozier's three. The Tigers also had a 56-28 rebounding advantage.

Missouri will play Spirou PDL Charleroi in Charleroi, Belgium, Monday.
