Corvallis, Ore. - The University of Missouri women's golf team shot a team round of 304 today to move up two spots at the NCAA Women's Golf West Regional, held at Trysting Trees Golf Course in Corvallis, Ore. The Tigers stand in 14th place through two rounds in the 20-team regional with a two-round total of 622. The top eight teams automatically advance to the NCAA Championships, and the Tigers enter tomorrow's final round 14 strokes behind eighth place Tennessee.
Individually, senior Amelia Moses is tied for 30th place after a three-over par 75 Friday. Should Missouri not advance as a team, Moses can advance as an individual if she finishes among the top two individuals among non-advancing teams. She enters Saturday's final round eight shots back of Meaghan Francella of Memphis, who is currently the No. 2 individual among teams in the nine through 20 spots.
Fellow senior Jamie Tucker shot a one-over par 73 Friday and moved up to 40th place overall. Tucker improved by nine strokes from her 82 on Thursday, and moved up 31 spots in the individual standings.
Sophomore Elin Ohlsson knocked three strokes off her first round score and carded a five-over par 72 on Friday. Her 157 two-round total leaves her tied for 55th individually heading into tomorrow's final round.
Rounding out the Tiger lineup are freshman Tara Jacobsen and junior Nisha Sadekar. Jacobsen stands tied for 76th overall with a two-round total of 161 (78-83), while Sadekar is one stroke behind in 80th place (83-79=162).
