Columbia, Mo.-The University of Missouri women's basketball team invites fans to its annual awards banquet. The Tigers celebrate their most impressive season in over a decade with a semiformal dinner and awards ceremony Sunday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. The banquet will be hosted in the Holiday Inn Select Executive Center at 2200 I-70 Drive SW in Columbia, Mo.

The banquet culminates a record breaking campaign in which the Tigers recorded a 22-10 season record -their best since the 1984-85 season when MU was 22-9 as the Big Eight Conference and tournament champions.

No. 10 seeded Missouri also advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. The Tigers recorded two NCAA Tournament victories over No. 25 ranked Wisconsin (78-65) and No. 4 ranked Georgia (71-68). Mizzou rounded out 2000-2001 ranked 19th in the USA Today/ESPN Poll.
