Tigers Take On Washington

The University of Missouri tennis team will play Washington University Saturday at 4 p.m. at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex.

The Tigers enter the match with a 9-5 overall record while the Bears are 6-0 and play Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Thursday. Washington competed in the 2000 NCAA Division III Championships.

Following the match against the Bears, Missouri will play at Cal State Northridge and Cal State Fullerton on March 29-30.

Recent Action: In Big 12 Conference action, Missouri dropped a pair of matches to Kansas and Colorado, respectively, last week.

If ...: If the Tigers would defeat Washington Univ., Missouri would have 10 wins for the second time in school history. The 1999 Tigers won 10 matches to set a school record.

Head Coach: The Tigers are under the direction of Blake Starkey. Starkey, an 1989 Eastern Kentucky graduate, is in his fourth season at Missouri.

Next: Once April hits, the Tigers will close the season with six consecutive home matches. The homestand starts on April 4 against Oklahoma State.
