MU Tennis Team Heads To The Sooner State

The University of Missouri tennis team will travel to the state of Oklahoma this weekend for a pair of matches. The Tigers, who are off to an impressive 5-2 record, meet Oral Roberts Saturday at 2 p.m. in Tulsa before heading to Oklahoma City and a Big 12 Conference match against the Sooners on Sunday at 1 p.m. The match with the Sooners will be played in an indoor facility in Oklahoma City rather than on campus in Norman. The match with Oral Roberts was originally scheduled for Friday.

Recent Action: The Tigers went 2-2 on a four-match swing in Texas. Missouri downed Southwest Texas State (6-0) and Texas-Pan American (5-1) before falling to Baylor (7-0) and Texas Tech (4-3) to open Big 12 Conference play.

Head Coach: The Tigers are under the direction of Blake Starkey who is in his fourth season. Starkey, an 1989 Eastern Kentucky graduate, was an assistant coach at Maryland before taking the MU position.
