Missouri Women's Soccer Falls to 3-3

Sept. 10, 2000

Ann Arbor, Mich.-The University of Missouri women's soccer team falls to 3-3 after taking a devastating 7-0 loss to Michigan in their second game of the Michigan Nike Invitational. The two teams played in a torrential downpour that covered the field with close to an inch of water. Adding to the problems created by the weather conditions, the Tigers were unable to find a rhythm throughout the game and gave up 28 shots to the Wolverines.

Graham Watson and Megan Duncan both spent time in the box, Watson giving up three goals and Duncan allowing four. Overall the goalkeeping staff made eight saves.

The Tigers return to action Sept. 15-17 when they participate in the Wake Forest Classic in Winston-Salem, N.C. Missouri faces Virginia Tech and California in the tournament.
