
Women's Golf in 6th Place at Big 12 Championships

Lubbock, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team stands in sixth place after the first round of the Big 12 Championships, which was played today at the Lubbock Country Club in Lubbock, Texas. The tournament continues with one round of play each of the next two days.
Missouri shot a team round of 305, which put them 12 strokes back of early leader Texas (293). Pre-tourney favorite Oklahoma State stands second, with a 295. Rounding out the top five include Oklahoma (3rd - 298), Nebraska (4th - 300) and host Texas Tech (5th - 304).
Individually, three Tigers found themselves in the top-20 after round one. The charge was led by junior Amelia Moses, who is tied for 7th after an opening-round 73. That puts her just three strokes back of the lead.
Just two shots back is junior teammate Jamie Tucker, who shot a 75 to tie for 12th place.
Sophomore Nisha Sadekar fired an opening-round 77 to tie for 20th. Rounding out the Tiger lineup were senior Tobi Probst and freshman Elin Ohlsson, who are both tied for 34th after identical rounds of 80.
