Men's Basketball Games Versus Iowa State, Kansas Have Sold Out

Dec. 27, 2000

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri men's basketball home games versus Iowa State (Jan. 13th) and Kansas (Jan 29th) have sold out, as announced today by the MU Athletic Ticket Office.

Tiger fans still have an opportunity to see their team in person, however, as plenty of tickets are available for the remainder of the home schedule, which features non-conference matchups versus Stetson (Dec. 30th) and Coastal Carolina (Jan. 2nd), before Big 12 Conference action gets underway against Nebraska (Jan. 6th).

Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS, or by stopping by the Hearnes Center Ticket Office.

"We're very pleased to see this excitement level among our fan base," said Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Mario Moccia. "It's gratifying to know that our fans are appreciative of the efforts by Coach Quin Snyder and his student-athletes. They have already given us quite a bit to be proud of thus far, and we're looking forward to even more exciting things on the horizon," he said.

The Tigers return to Columbia tonight for an evening workout, their first since breaking for the holiday following last Thursday's 86-81 overtime defeat to 5th-ranked Illinois in the annual Busch Braggin' Rights Game in St. Louis. MU's only losses on the year have come at the hands of teams that are currently ranked.

Missouri, at 7-3 on the year, is on the verge of cracking the national rankings, as they received enough votes recently to rank 29th and 32nd, respectively, in the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today top-25 polls.
