TIGERS BEGIN "BIG TEN SEASON" AT #22-RANKED IOWA SATURDAY
For the pundits who had Missouri joining the Big Ten Conference a few years back,
they'll get a chance over the next week to see how the Tigers might have fit in with the
league, as MU takes on three Big Ten teams in a six-day stretch.
The fun begins Saturday in Iowa City, Iowa, where the Tigers, 6-1, and just out of the national rankings (#26 ESPN/USA Today & #28 A.P.) take on the undefeated and #22- ranked Iowa Hawkeyes (7-0). MU then plays at Indiana (Dec. 18) and vs. Illinois (Dec. 21 in St. Louis, Mo.).
Missouri has won three straight entering Saturday's game, and won a pair of games last week, 99-85 over DePaul and 77-73 over Saint Louis, both at home. Six of Iowa's seven wins thus far have been at home, and they're coming off an 80-68 win over #25 Iowa State.
