COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri sophomore MATT FERRARELLI was named the Big 12 Male Swimmer of the Month on Monday. Ferrarelli, who led the Tigers to a dual victory over Kansas and a victory at the Arkansas Invite last weekend, is currently ranked nationally in three individual events this week.

The native of Retford Nott, England is ranked fourth in the country in the 400 individual medley, seventh in the 200 IM and 14th in the 200 backstroke. He is also part of the men's 200 medley relay team that is currently ranked 17th.

Ferrarelli has been nearly dominant so far during the 2000 campaign. He won three events in a dual meet victory against Kansas on November 4th. He finished in second place in two events at the Northwestern Invite while placing third in two other events. Last weekend at Arkansas, Ferrarelli enjoyed the best weekend of his career, racking up four first-place finishes and three Missouri school records.
