Columbia, Mo. - University of Missouri Men's Basketball Coach Quin Snyder and Women's Coach Cindy Stein released the following statements regarding today's vote by the MU Board of Curators to approve funding for a new basketball arena.

QUIN SNYDER: "This is a very exciting day for Missouri Basketball. We're striving to build one of the elite programs in the nation, and a new facility is a vital part of that equation. I'm pleased that the Board of Curators, Chancellor Wallace and Mike Alden share our vision. I'm happy not only for our players and our program, but also for our fans, alumni and in particular the students of the University."

CINDY STEIN: "I am extremely excited about the idea of a new arena. I deeply appreciate the individuals involved that have made this become reality. It is through their giving and hard work that will make this project a success. The arena will truly enhance our Men's and Women's Basketball Programs. The commitment that MU is demonstrating is a blessing and will surely pay off in the future."
