Omaha, Neb. - The University of Missouri women's tennis team got off to a slow start in Wednesday's action at the ITA Central Regional Rolex Championships held at the Hanscom Indoor Tennis Center.

Freshmen Cassie Drake (Kansas City) and Jessica Ferguson (Houston, Texas) both lost in qualifying-round matches. Drake suffered a 0-6, 6-1, 1-0 loss to Colorado State's Allison Lisle. Ferguson fell 6-2, 6-4 to Kansas State's Pauline Castillajos.

The Central Regional continues tomorrow through Sunday.
