Austin, Texas--The University of Missouri women's soccer team is 8-7 and 4-3 in the Big 12 Conference after falling to Texas in a 4-1 contest tonight. The Longhorns outshot the Tigers 19-12 and pounded the MU net with 10 shots on goal. Missouri was left with six net shots in the game.
Mizzou's only goal was scored by All-American senior Nikki Thole. The forward capitalized on a shot by senior Jennifer McMaster. The goalkeeper deflected the save and Thole launched the shot from well outside the penalty box for the score.
Freshman goalkeeper Stephanie Krawczyk earns her first loss of the season, taking her record to 2-1. She made six saves and allowed four goals in the game.
The Tigers continue Big 12 play when they take-on Texas A&M in College Station, Texas on Sun., Oct. 15 at 1:00 p.m.
