Ann Arbor, Mich.-The University of Missouri women's soccer team drops to 3-2 after a grueling 3-2 sudden death overtime loss to Ohio State. The Tigers dominated the game going into the last 30 minutes of play with a 2-0 lead. Fatigue proved to be their downfall however, as they allowed the Buckeyes two goals in the second half to force overtime play. The Buckeyes outshot the Tigers 18-10. Mizzou had six shots on goal.
Senior Nikki Thole scored her 54th career goal on a penalty kick in the first half. She also assisted Adriene Davis to post the Tigers' second score. MU goalkeeper Graham Watson played an amazing game keeping out seven shots on goal.
The Tigers continue play in the Michigan Nike Invitational Sun., Sept. 10 at 12:00 p.m., when they face Michigan.
