Chesterfield's Justin Bliss to Play Golf at Missouri

May 11, 2000

Columbia, Mo. - Justin Bliss of Chesterfield, Mo. has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Missouri, where he will play golf for the Tigers, as announced today by Men's Coach Tim Robyn.

A senior at Lafayette High School in St. Louis, Bliss has had a solid prep career. He won medalist honors at the Jefferson City Invitational in 1999, and ranked second on the Future Collegians World Tour points list last year, as well.

"Justin is a very solid player who has had a lot of success on the high school and national level," said Robyn. "He's a quality young man who is an outstanding student, in addition to being a hard worker. I believe he's got the potential to be an outstanding collegiate player," he said.

Bliss is the third prep standout to sign on the dotted line with Robyn. He joins Brandon Knaub of Seven Valleys, Pa. and Mike Radek of Chicago, Ill., who both signed during the early period in November of 1999. They'll join a team that loses only senior David Suggs from the starting lineup.
