Five Tigers made the All-Big 12 Academic team and three Tigers were selected to the All-Big 12 team, the conference announced today.
Senior Amy Farmer (Therapeutic Recreation) and junior Karen Williams (Biology/Pre Med) were honored as members of the Academic All-Big 12 Second team. Seniors Stacy Gemeinhardt (Social Work) and Christy Skouby (Nutrition and Fitness) and junior Stephanie Falk (Physical Therapy) were first team honorees. This season marks the fourth consecutive year that Farmer and Gemeinhardt have landed on the team and is the third selection for Skouby and Falk. Williams makes her second appearance.
All of the Tigers chosen for All-Big 12 honors make the team for the first time in their collegiate careers. Sophomore Lindsey Jacoby made the second team as a second baseman. At large selections were senior infielder Linda Swarts and sophomore outfielder Sara Vassmer.
Missouri is competing for even bigger honors this week at the Big 12 Softball Tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla.
