Women's Golf Stands 4th After First Day at Dixie-Utah Classic

St. George, Utah - The University of Missouri women's golf team stands in fourth place after one round of the Utah-Dixie Classic, which began today at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah. Twenty-seven holes were contested on Monday, but results were only available through 18 holes. The final 27 holes will be contested Tuesday.

The Tigers shot a team score of 303 in the first round, which put them 10 shots back of leader Oklahoma State. Texas Tech stands in second place (299), while Texas-El Paso is third (300).

Individually, two Tigers stand in the top-20 through one round of play. Junior Amelia Moses is tied for fifth after opening with a one-over par 73. She's six strokes back of Maria Boden of Oklahoma State, who shot a five-under par 67 for the early lead.

Junior Jill Rosen, who is participating as an individual, shot a career-best 74 to find herself tied for 11th place overall.
