The Missouri Tiger softball team (9-7) dropped both games of their final double-header in the Lady Back Invitational to the host team, Arkansas.
The Tigers lost the first game 6-2 and the second 5-1. The Tigers once again battled errors in the infield and leaving runners on base. Missouri had two errors in each of the games and left a total of 11 runners on base.
In both games Arkansas struck first. In the first game, the Lady Backs scored three runs off two hits, two Tiger errors and a wild pitch by Tiger pitcher Stephanie Falk. The Lady Back scored three more runs in the top of the sixth. The Tigers added their second run in the bottom of the seventh. Sara McNeal Scored on a Stacy Gemeinhardt single to center field.
Missouri was just not able to get the spark back for game two. Arkansas scored one run off a single to center field in the bottom of the second. The Tigers tied the game in the top of the fourth when Karen Williams scored off a Amy Farmer single to left field. But that was all Missouri was able to do. Arkansas scored two runs in each the fourth and fifth innings.
