Lassiter Tabbed Big 12 Rookie-of-the-Week

COLUMBIA, Mo.- Missouri junior forward Amanda Lassiter has been tabbed the Big 12 Rookie-of-the-Week for the second time this season. In two games this week, the San Francisco, Calif. native averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. She also blocked five shots and recorded eight steals.

Lassiter earned the same award back on Nov. 29 following her Most Valuable Player performance at the Pacific Bell/San Diego State Tournament where she broke the single-game Big 12 record for steals with 11.

Lassiter is currently MU's second leading scorer at 13.5 points per game. She leads the Tigers in rebounding (5.2), assists (50), steals (39) and blocked shots (38). Her 2.9 blocks per game ranks among the nation's top 10.

Missouri is back in action this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. when the Tigers (11-2, 1-1) take on the Texas Longhorns (10-4, 2-0) at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
