Franklin, Ind. - The University of Missouri women's golf team tied for sixth place at the Shoot-Out at the Legends, which wrapped up today at the Legends Golf Course, in Franklin, Ind.
Missouri tied with Iowa in sixth place, after shooting identical three-round team scores of 919. The Tigers saved their best for last, as their final-round team score of 298 was 11 strokes better than their previous best in the tournament.
Individually, sophomore Nisha Sadekar continued her superb play, as she registered a tie for 16th place, with a three-round total of 225. She shot rounds of 78, 75 and 72 to post the total, which left her just ten strokes off the tournament champion, Maria Boden, of Oklahoma State, who won with a 215 total.
Other Tigers included junior Amelia Moses, who just missed out on a top-20 finish, as she tied for 22nd with a total of 228. Senior Tobi Probst was just five strokes back, in 35th place, with a 233 total. Freshman Elin Ohlsson tied for 53rd (238) and junior Jamie Tucker tied for 58th place, with a total of 240.
