Nov. 17, 1999

Columbia, Mo. - Brandon Knaub, of Seven Valleys, Pa. has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Missouri, as announced today by Men?s Golf Coach Tim Robyn.

Knaub, who attends Dallastown High School in Seven Valleys, Pa., won the Pennsylvania State Junior Championship in 1998, and placed second in the 1999 Pennsylvania State High School Championship. His second-round 68 in the championships was the lowest individual round by a player in 20 years. He?s also had numerous top-five finishes on the Future Collegians World Tour and the American Junior Golf Association Junior Tour.

?Brandon has unlimited potential,? said MU Head Coach Tim Robyn. ?Physically, he?s very strong, and he hits the ball a long way. He?s a great putter with outstanding feel, and is a gutsy competitor. I believe he will make an impact for us as a freshman. It?s an honor to coach a competitor like Brandon, who?s such a fine young man,? he said.

Knaub is the second prepster to sign with Robyn in the early period. He joins Mike Radek, of Chicago, Ill. to sign with the Tigers.

The early signing period concludes today, with the spring period running from April 5 through May 15, 2000.
