Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri Women?s Soccer team notched its fourth Big 12 Conference win Friday with a 2-0 blanking of Oklahoma at Walton Stadium. The victory improved Missouri?s overall record to 9-3. The team is 4-1 in the Big 12 Conference. Oklahoma fell to 2-9-1 and 1-4 in 1999. Senior Jackie Adamec won her nineth match of the year in goal.

Sophomore forward Sarah Sallee put the Tigers up with her fourth goal of the year at 10:42. The goal was Sallee?s first since she scored in Missouri?s 3-2 overtime win over Illinois September 12 and established a new season-high for the sophomore from Tulsa, Okla. Amy Timmermann assisted on the score, her seventh assist of the season, also a new season-high for the junior midfielder.

Senior midfielder Heather Buchheit gave MU a 2-0 advantage at 29:54 when she knocked in a ball deflected by the Oklahoma defense off a Kristin Boeker corner kick. Buchheit?s second goal of the season, the sixth of her career, gave MU 36 goals for the season.

Missouri next plays Sunday, October 10 at 1pm when it hosts Oklahoma State at Walton Stadium. Its Kids? Day at Walton Stadium. Kids wearing their soccer team?s jersey get into the match for $1.
