West Lafayette, Indiana - The Purdue Boilermakers used five unanswered goals from five different players to defeat the No.21-ranked Missouri Tigers, 5-1 Friday at the Purdue Varsity Soccer Complex. The loss dropped Missouri to 11-6-1 on the season. The Boilermakers moved to 8-11. Senior midfielder Kate Dwyer scored Missouri's lone goal in the sixth minute of play, her second score of the season.

Missouri outshot the Boilermakers 19-13, but for the fourth consecutive match could not convert several opportunities. After Dwyer scored the match's first goal at 5:07, Purdue stormed back scoring a goal in 12th and 19th minutes of play. The Boilermakers took that 2-1 advantage into halftime.

In the second frame, MU attacked the Purdue goal, but it was the Boilermakers who got the scores in the second half. Goals in the 59th and 67th minutes by Rebecca Broering and Tari St. John put the match out of the Tigers' reach at 4-1. Kerry Maloney scored the match's final goal in the 89th minute and Purdue took the match 5-1.

Missouri next plays Sunday, October 31 when they host Tulsa at Walton Stadium. The match will be the final regular season match of the season for Missouri. It is Senior Day at Walton Stadium as eight seniors play their final regular season match at Walton Stadium.
