Soccer Blanks Team Holland, 4-0

Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri women's soccer team scored its second victory of its European trip today with a 4-0 blanking of Team Holland, a national team. Junior forward Nikki Thole netted two goals and now has scored three in MUs two wins overseas. Senior Kate Dwyer added a score, her first of the trip, and sophomore midfielder Stephanie Brennan scored the third Tiger goal.

"We showed great teamwork today," Head Coach Bryan Blitz said. "Our offense really clicked, in scoring four goals and our defense was great, shutting out Team Holland. Overall we were pleased again with our performance."

In two games in Holland MU has scored seven goals while allowing no goals. Five different players have scored for the Tiger attack. Missouri concludes play tomorrow with a final contest at 7 pm, local time, versus another Dutch opponent. The team will return to the United States on Wednesday, August 4.
