August 23, 1999

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Department of Athletics announced Monday that Ellis Copy Center has secured the title sponsorship for the 1999 Missouri women's soccer invitational (formerly the Nike Tiger Invitational). As part of their sponsorship Ellis Copy Center has also pledged a $2,500 donation to the Missouri women's soccer program.

"We are so happy to have such a great sign of support in our program," Head Coach Bryan Blitz said. "Ellis Copy Center has always been a strong supporter of Missouri Tiger athletics and we are honored to receive their latest gift."

The 1999 Ellis Copy Tiger Invitational Soccer Tournament will be held September 3 and 5 at the Audrey J. Walton Track-Soccer Field-Stadium and will feature a four team field including the Michigan Wolverines, Indiana Hoosiers, Vanderbilt Commodores and Missouri Tigers.

The sponsorship of the invitational was secured by Mizzou Sports Properties which manages sponsorship rights to all 20 of MU's men's and women's intercollegiate athletic programs and works to promote each and every program.

"This partnership is a win-win situation for all involved. The Ellis Library Copy Center is strategically placing itself as a sponsor of a sport that has a great deal of promise," Mizzou Sports Properties General Manager Mike Behymer said. "Were happy they have the foresight to see the emerging opportunities with womens soccer."

Ellis Copy Center is a full-service copy center located in Ellis Library on the University of Missouri campus.
