COLUMBIA, Mo.- University of Missouri pitcher Logan Dale is officially in the Cape Cod League record books. The junior right hander, who is playing for the Wareham Gatemen in Wareham, Mass., broke the Cape Cod League record for most consecutive innings pitched without allowing a run.
On Saturday evening, Dale hurled five shutout innings against the Hyannis Mets before allowing an unearned run in the sixth inning. Dale had gone 30 innings without allowing a run breaking the record of 29 innings held by current Detroit Tigers pitcher Jeff Weaver. Wareham lost the game 2-1, but both runs were unearned. Dale is now 2-1 on the year in four starts with an ERA of 0.00.
