Tucson, Ariz. - The University of Missouri women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Mountain View Collegiate Classic, held March 13-14 at the Mountain View Golf Club, in Tucson, Ariz. The tournament featured 36 holes of play, and finished with the final 18 today.

Missouri had a two-round team score of 608 (314-294), just one stroke back of third-place Kansas. Missouri improved its team score by 20 strokes, firing a second-round 294, compared to a 314 which they opened with yesterday. Arizona won the event, with a two-round total of 587, while Colorado State was next, at 596.

Leading the way individually for Missouri were sisters LETITIA and AMELIA MOSES. Both shot identical rounds of 76 each day, to finish in a tie for 11th overall, with two round totals of 152 (eight over par). Letitia is a senior on the Tiger squad, while Amelia is a sophomore.

Just one stroke back were another pair of Tigers. Senior STEFANIE MITCHELL (81-72=153) and junior TOBI PROBST (81-72=153) each tied for 15th individually, with two round totals of 153.

Rounding out the Tiger lineup was sophomore JAMIE TUCKER (81-74=155). The transfer from Kansas finished in a tie for 21st place overall, with a two-round score of 155. Tucker had finished second individually last time out, at the GTE Mo-Morial (Feb. 22-23), a tournament in which the Tigers won the team championship.

Next up for the Tigers is the Betsy Rawls Intercollegiate, to be held March 26-28, in Austin, Texas.
