LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Lynn Pride scored 24 points and became the 13th Kansas player to score 1,000 points in the Jayhawks' 54-52 Big 12 win over Missouri Wednesday night.
Pride was the only player for No. 23 Kansas (13-4 overall, 3-1 Big 12) to score in double figures.
"Every game in this conference is going to be tough," said Kansas head coach Marian Washington. "The rivalry is still alive and kicking."
The Jayhawks, who trailed 29-27 at halftime, shot only 33 percent for the game, but forced 30 Missouri turnovers.
After a tight first half, the game went back and forth between the two teams in the final 20 minutes, with each squad holding leads of five or more at some point.
But with the game tied at 49 with less than a minute to play, Jaclyn Johnson scored to give Kansas the lead for good.
The Tigers (8-6, 1-3) were led by Amy Monsees' 17 points and 10 rebounds, with Julie Helm adding 14 points.
