Tigers eat up the Hoosiers

September 28, 1998

Septemeber 27, 1998 - On Sunday the Tigers beat the Indiana Hoosiers 3-2. The Tigers shut out the Hoosiers in the first half, but they tried for a comeback in the second half. Nikki Thole scored the game winner, and tied the 1997 scoring record for Missouri. She now has eight goals for the season. Keeping her scoring streak going sophomore midfielder Kristin Boeker added a goal and an assist on junior forward Erin Grimsley's goal. Grimsley started the offense, with Boeker adding an assist. She also helped secure the win on the game winning assist on Thole's goal. The Tigers are now at 4-3-1 for the season. This is the first time in the programs history they have had a winning record in eight games.

Sophomores Nikki Thole, and Kristin Boeker made the Key Bank Adidas All-Tournament Team. Joining them with those honors as well, Erin Grimsley.
