MU Offers Family Weekend Football Ticket Package

September 22, 1998

The University of Missouri will celebrate "Family Weekend" when the Tigers host Northwestern (La.) State on Oct. 3, and the MU Athletic Department has announced a special ticket package to go along with the annual promotion. It will also be "Band Day" on Oct. 3, with more than 2,400 high school band members performing along with Marching Mizzou.

Interested persons may purchase four reserved-seat tickets - for two adults and two children under 16 years of age - for $60. That represents a savings of $36.00.

The Tigers, 2-1 and ranked 24th and 25th, respectively in the USA Today/ESPN and Associated Press national polls, have won three straight games on Faurot Field, and five of their last six. Northwestern State is off to a 3-0 start and is ranked 8th nationally in NCAA Division I-AA. The Demons feature a high-powered offense that averages 35 points and more than 400 yards per game.

Persons interested in purchasing the Family Weekend Ticket Package may do so at the Athletic Ticket Office, located on the west side of Hearnes Center, or by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS. The ticket office is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Friday.
