Coming to Mizzou from Lewistown, Montana, Munski became one of the nation’s top distance runners during his career as a Tiger. He was the Big Six Conference mile champion indoors and outdoors in 1938-39-40 and won the NCAA outdoor mile run in 1940. He finished second at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 1939, to earn all-America honors.
