Track and Field Wraps Up NCAA West Regional Championships

The women complete the final day of the competition in Fayetteville.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Missouri track and field closed out the NCAA West Regional Championships Saturday with three performances from the women at John McDonnell Field.
RECAP
Senior Ames Burton kicked off the day's event in the discus throw, placing 32nd with a result of 49.72m (163-1), the third appearance of her career in the regional contest.
Representing the Black and Gold in the high jump was sophomore Marlena Tresnjo, ending the day in 42nd with a mark of 1.71m (5-7.25).
The only Tiger to compete in two events was sophomore Monica Wanjiku, racing in the 5000m after running the 10,000m Thursday. In today's event, she crossed the finish line in 16:29.44 to place 28th, the top half of the field.
