Career Stats

SENIOR (2019-20)

  • Took over Mizzou’s starting job at heavyweight midway through the season and finished eighth at the MAC Championships, going 2-3 at the event, advancing to the tournament’s final day despite being unseeded headed into the championships
  • Posted a 12-16 record during his final season as a Tiger
  • Went 3-10 in dual competitions (2-5 in the MAC) and went 9-6 in tournament action
  • Posted a 3-1 record at the Cougar Clash in December
  • Graduated from Mizzou with a degree in biochemistry and enrolled in medical school

JUNIOR (2018-19)

  • Finished his redshirt sophomore year with an 8-3 record, posting a pair of falls among his eight wins
  • All 11 of his bouts came in tournament action, where he thrived all season earning three runner-up nods
  • Was the heavyweight runner-up at the South Beach Duals Individual Tournament on Dec. 20 after defeating Cornell’s Brendan Furman, 3-2
  • Earned a runner-up nod at the Roger Denker Open while earning his first fall of the season, a pin that took 1:50 against Jules Joseph of Truman State … He lost to teammate Rodrigo Diaz in the finals of that tournament
  • Also earned second-place at the Missouri Valley Open, winning three bouts, including a fall over Missouri Valley’s Joshua Isaac in the first round
  • Improved his career record to 23-15 with four career falls

SOPHOMORE (2017-18)

  • Produced a record of 15-12 in first season as an attached wrestler, making two dual starts for Mizzou at heavyweight.
  • Finished runner-up at heavyweight at the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 21), picking up a fall in the semifinals over Robert Schneider.
  • Made Mizzou dual debut against Eastern Michigan’s No. 17 Gage Hutchison (Jan. 13), falling 3-2 in overtime.
  • Went 2-2 at the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1), picking up wins over Cleveland State’s Collin Kelly, 7-0, and Drexel’s Vincenzo Pelusi, 2-0.
  • Produced a record of 3-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 17), including a fall at 4:17 over Southwestern Oregon’s Juan Perez.
  • Finished third at heavyweight at the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 11) with a 3-1 record.
  • Took fifth at heavyweight at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Nov. 4), going 3-2 at the tournament.

FRESHMAN (2016-17)

  • Posted a record of 11-10 during his redshirt season, placing in one open tournament.
  • Went 2-2 in the heavyweight division at the Edinboro Open (Feb. 4), including a fall over BryLee Shumaker (Clarion) at 6:56.
  • Record two falls in a 3-2 performance at the Joe Parisi Open (Nov. 12).
  • Open the season by winning the heavyweight amateur division of the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 12), winning all four matches with decision victories.

SMITHVILLE HIGH SCHOOL (SMITHVILLE, MO.)

  • Missouri Class 2 285-pound State Champion
  • Complied a 183-28 high school record at Smithville High School, culminating in a state championship and a team title following a 53-3 record as a senior.
  • Three-time conference champion, two-time district champion and member of the All-Metro team (2014-15).
  • Also excelled in football and baseball, earning all-conference honors in both sports.
  • Member of 2014-15 state champion baseball team.
