  • Went 1-1, making one appearance in dual action
  • Lone win came in an extra match, defeating his opponent by a 15-1 major decision

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019-20)

  • Wrestled in three duals, going 2-1 overall
  • Finished 2019-20 season at 11-5 while wrestling at 184 pounds
  • Recorded four falls, all of which happened during open tournaments, and the quickest came in just 1:39
  • Moved up to 197 pounds for the final dual of the season, winning his bout by a 3-2 decision

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2018-19)

  • Marriott wrestled in two tournaments during the 2018-19 season, compiling a 6-3 record overall and recording two major decisions
  • Opened up his season with a 12-1 victory by major decision over Kohl Dodd out of Lindsey Wilson in the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 17), where he would eventually place sixth at 184
  • Captured three straight victories over wrestlers from South Dakota State, North Dakota State and Iowa State to open the UNI Open (Jan. 17) before falling to teammate Dylan Wisman in the finals, as he took second place
  • Following up on his strong 2017-18 performance, Marriott moves to a career 32-11 record with a strong 18-7 record in tournament action

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017-18)

  • Posted a record of 26-8 (14-4 in duals) and qualified for the NCAA Championships at 184 pounds in first season as an attached wrestler for Mizzou.
  • Was named the Marshall Esteppe Most Outstanding Freshman of the Year at end-of-the-year banquet.
  • Went 1-2 at the NCAA Championships (March 15-16), defeating Northern Illinois’ Bryce Gorman, 6-0, in the consolation first round.
  • Placed third at 184 pounds at the MAC Championships (March 3-4), defeating No. 16-rakned Jordan Ellingwood (Central Michigan), 2-1, to claim third.
  • Earned a 9-1 major decision over Central Michigan’s No. 14-ranked Jordan Ellingwood (Jan. 19), solidifying his spot in the individual rankings.
  • Recorded his first career win over a ranked opponent with a 3-1 win in sudden victory over North Carolina’s No. 16-ranked Chip Ness at the South Beach Duals (Dec. 29).
  • Finished second at the difficult Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 17), recording two wins by technical fall in the tournament.
  • Captured a title at the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 18) with a 4-0 performance, defeating Iowa State’s Dane Pestano, 3-1, in the finals.
  • Earned first official collegiate win over Missouri Valley’s Tristan Ramberg, winning by 16-0 technical fall (3:41) in dual competition (Nov. 12).

FRESHMAN (2016-17)

  • In redshirt season, went 17-9 while placing in four open tournaments
  • Finished sixth at the Edinboro Open (Nov. 12) after a 3-2 showing which featured two wins by major decision
  • Won the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 22) at 174 pounds following a 4-0 performance, including a 10-0 major decision victory over Drury’s Jacob Brune in the championship bout.
  • Placed fourth at the UNI Open (Dec. 3) after a 4-2 performance which included two wins by major decision
  • Finished third at the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 12), including a win by fall over Lindenwood’s Patrick Kristen in the third-place match

PARK HILL HIGH SCHOOL (KANSAS CITY, MO.)

  • Posted a 162-23 record in high school, placing in the top-four at the state tournament all four years, including a state championship as a junior.
